Perfect bind books, also referred to as Softcover or Paperback Books is the most common type of permanent binding for photo books, novels, presentations, proposals, etc. It gives your book a professional look at an affordable price.
Using our PUR glue technology, books are beautiful and extremely durable.
Here is basic guidelines for setting up your Print Ready PDF for perfect binding. Ideally creating a separate file for the Cover and Text
- COVER
- Images - 300dpi for Color, 600dpi for B&W
- Embed all Fonts
- Include bleeds of 0.125" on all 4 sides and Trim marks
- Spine and Cover Trim dimensions are to the right at the bottom of the drop down options
- When designing your cover, remember there's a hinge score 1/4" in from the spine on the front and back cover
2. TEXT PAGES
- Make your book easier to read by offsetting the booklet body by 0.125" to 0.25" to the right.
- Images - 300dpi for Color, 600dpi for B&W
- Embed all Fonts
- Include bleeds of 0.125" on all 4 sides and Trim marks
- Additional charges maybe required if files are not setup correctly.
For additional protection and to make your book remembered a laminate can be added to the outside cover.
